Jupiter String Quartet
The Quartet consisting of Nelson Lee, violin; Megan Freivogel, violin; Elizabeth Freivogal, viola; and Daniel McDonough, cello, won the prestigious Cleveland Quarter Award in 2006. Given every two years by Chamber Music America, the award “honors and promotes a rising young string quartet whose artistry demonstrates that it is in the process of establishing a major career”. The Quartet has also been selected to join Lincoln Center’s Chamber Music Society Two for a three-year residency, which started in 2007.
The concert, which is open to the public at no charge (donations appreciated), will include music by Claude Debussy, Bela Bartok and Robert Schumann.
